I'm 18, part of the Innovation Academy and trying to find my path in life.
I was always a driven student and had an innate passion for learning. Junior year of high school, I felt I was losing my purpose to learn. By the end of the school year all I wanted to do was pass. But, I joined the Innovation Academy for my senior year and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I've been lucky enough to work with a group of the most extraordinary people ever and rediscover my passion for learning.
However, when I'm not in school, I like to think of myself as a separate entity.
Horseback riding is the biggest thing that makes me, me. I was not born with the talent to ride horses, but I definitely have the passion for it, which has allowed me to go places I never thought I would be able to go. Recently, I was ranked first in my category. Nationally. After years of hard work, I can confidently say that this is one of my biggest achievements yet. I know I have a long way to go, but I know that with passion and dedication, I can get there.
I plan on taking a gap year after I finish with high school in which I'll explore some interests I have always had but never had the chance of investigating. I have my top choice schools but I'm still not sure where I'll be going. I might end up studying international studies but I may end up somewhere completely different. I still don't know.
